Are you family-owned?
+
Yes. Loera's Landscaping was founded by Omar Loera in 2010 and is still family-owned and operated. Carrollton-based, serving DFW. Omar does every on-site estimate personally.
Do you offer free estimates?
+
Yes. We provide free on-site estimates for every service. Call (469) 671-8467 or submit a project brief at /contact and we'll be in touch within 1 business day.
What cities do you serve?
+
Carrollton (HQ), Plano, Frisco, Dallas, Addison, Lewisville, Coppell, Southlake, Highland Park, University Park, Farmers Branch, and the surrounding DFW metroplex.
When is the best time to install sod in North Texas?
+
Late March through May is the sweet spot for Bermuda and Palisades Zoysia. Warm soil and spring rain give new turf a full growing season to root before summer stress. We also install through early fall when conditions allow.
What's the difference between Bermuda, Zoysia, and St. Augustine sod?
+
Bermuda is the North Texas standard — fast-growing, heat-tolerant, mowed short at 1.5–2 inches, full sun. Palisades Zoysia handles partial shade better, feels softer underfoot, and needs mowing less often. St. Augustine is the right pick for heavy shade under mature live oaks and pecans. We walk every property and recommend what'll actually thrive in your specific yard.
Do you install artificial turf in DFW?
+
Yes. We install premium, UV-stabilized synthetic turf across all of the DFW metroplex. Best fit: deep-shade pockets where grass won't grow, pet runs, putting greens, small townhome strips. Free on-site estimates.
Can synthetic turf handle Texas heat?
+
Modern premium turf with the right infill runs noticeably cooler than older generations. It'll still be warmer than real grass on a 105° day — that's physics — but for shade, pets, and play areas it's a solid choice. We recommend a cooling-infill upgrade for play surfaces specifically.
Do you handle small yards and townhomes?
+
Yes — small yards, courtyards, patio homes, and townhomes are well within our wheelhouse. We bring smaller equipment for smaller lots. If your HOA handles common-area lawn but you own your bed work, we can do exactly that scope.
Do you offer weekly lawn maintenance?
+
Yes. Weekly lawn service across DFW: mowing, edging, line-trimming, blowing, bed care, hedge work, and seasonal cleanups every visit. Family business, fair monthly rate, free estimate.
How much does holiday lighting cost?
+
Holiday lighting starts at $4 per linear foot and includes design, commercial-grade LED installation, timers, mid-season service, full takedown, and off-season storage. Booking opens in the fall — reserve by early November for the best availability and color choices.
How fast can you start?
+
Estimates within 48 hours of your call. Sod installs typically scheduled within 1–2 weeks. Weekly lawn service added the same week.
